About Peter Harris

Peter Harris is the former Assistant Dean in the Faculty of Arts & Science at U of T. He has spoken to various later life learning groups in Toronto and elsewhere: Later Life Learning (U of T), Life Long Learning in Retirement (Glendon College), George Brown College Seniors Association, Bluewater Association of Lifelong Learning (Owen Sound), the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre and the Hot Docs Cinema Curious Minds Program.

He has lectured on a wide variety of topics, ranging from Designing the World: Global Starchitects to Dr. Zhivago Goes to the Fair -Expo ’58; from the German Reichstag Building to Rosie the Riveter; from The Age of Upheaval: the 1920s and ‘30s to The Age of Reinvention: 1945 to 1960; from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari to Architecture as Ideology: Socialist Realism vs West Coast Googie Architecture.
